Today marks a meaningful milestone for the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo.

A long-felt need within the faculty — a secure safety locker system for students — has now become a reality. This valuable and much-needed facility, though a significant investment, was made possible through the dedication and initiative of the Rotaract Club of FMF, UOC.
Taking this on as a project, the Rotaractors committed their time, effort, and teamwork to bring it to completion. This morning, the newly installed locker system was ceremonially opened by the Dean of FMF together with the Rotaract students, marking a proud and memorable moment for the faculty.
With over 100 safety lockers now securely located within the Devalaya premises, students are provided with a safe and convenient space to store their belongings, including bags, laptops, and other valuables, during their time on campus.
This initiative stands as a testament to what student leadership, service, and collaboration can achieve. Generations of FMF students — both present and future — will benefit from this thoughtful contribution and will remember that it was made possible by the Rotaractors of FMF, UOC.
Our sincere appreciation goes out to the Rotaract Club of FMF for their commitment and effort in making this impactful project a success.
