Master of Management Studies (MMS)

Master of Management Studies (MMS) offered by the Postgraduate and Mid-career Development Unit, Faculty of Management & Finance, University of Colombo is designed to cater both local and international students who are willing to pursue their Masters in a fast routine. Spanning a duration of one year, the MMS program is structured into three trimesters, each meticulously crafted to provide students with a holistic understanding of managementprinciples, practices, and strategies. Through a blend of theoretical coursework, practical exercises, case studies, and real-world applications, students embark on a transformative journey that equips them with the skills, knowledge, and insights needed to navigate the complexities of modern-day business. Upon successful completion of the MMS program, graduates emerge as versatile leaders equipped to drive organizational success, foster innovation, and lead with integrity in an increasingly dynamic and competitive global landscape.

Entry Criteria

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/Institution in management related

discipline; or

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline in this University or any other recognized

University/Institution, with one year of work experience in management-related fields; or

  • Postgraduate Diploma (SLQF 8) in management-related disciplines from a recognized

University/Institution or an equal Qualification acceptable to the Faculty Board of the

FMF and the Senate of University of the Colombo or

  • Any other qualifications acceptable to the Faculty Board of the FMF and Senate of

University of Colombo; or

  • Completion of NVQ level 7 (equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in SLQF) with one-year of work experience in management related area (Each application under this shall be considered on its merit.)

And

  • A good knowledge of English language and satisfactory performance at a selection test/

selection interview

How to Apply

  • A person who wishes to apply for the MMS programmes shall complete the online application form on the programme website (https://mgmt.cmb.ac.lk/pgmcdu/masters-in-management-studies/).
  • Pay the application fee using any one of the payment options and email (mms.office@pgmcdu.cmb.ac.lk) or handover the physical copy of the application fee payment evidence to Postgraduate and Mid-career Development Unit, Faculty of Management & Finance, University of Colombo before the selection interview.
  • The students will be selected through an interview or a placement test or both.
  • The next intake will be announced via the website, at the time of calling for applicants.

Course Fees

Application Fee : LKR 5,000 (to be paid before the interview)

For Local  : LKR 300,000 (payable in two installments)

For Foreign Nationals  : 3500 USD (payable in two installments)
