Business Spark 2026 Grand Finale Ignites Entrepreneurial Excellence at FMF UOC

The Grand Finale of the 2nd All-Island Business Idea Competition – Business Spark 2026 was successfully held on 25th April 2026 at the Faculty of Management and Finance (FMF), University of Colombo.

Organized as one of the flagship initiatives of the Faculty in collaboration with Middleway Ventures, Business Spark continues to serve as a dynamic platform for nurturing innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking among youth across Sri Lanka.

This year’s competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from aspiring young entrepreneurs island-wide. Following a highly competitive three-round evaluation process, four exceptional teams were selected to compete at the Grand Finale, presenting their innovative business ideas before a distinguished panel of judges.

The competition not only recognized creativity and feasibility but also emphasized real-world impact and scalability. The winning team was awarded a seed investment of LKR 2 million, along with invaluable mentorship and execution support to transform their idea into a viable business venture.

Business Spark 2026 once again highlighted FMF UOC’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and empowering the next generation of business leaders in Sri Lanka.
