Inauguration of the Diploma in Human Resource Management (DHRM) 2025/26 Online Programme

The Department of Human Resources Management, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, proudly inaugurated the Diploma in Human Resource Management (DHRM) 2025/26 Online Programme on Friday, 19th September 2025, at 7.00 p.m.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Professor Nihal Hennayake, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Finance, who attended as the Chief Guest. A warm welcome was extended to all participants by Dr. Rajitha Silva, Head of the Department of Human Resources Management. Adding depth and inspiration to the evening, the keynote address was delivered by Mr Kanisha Ranaweera, Deputy General Manager Human Resources (Designae), Commercial Bank ceylon PLC, who shared forward-looking perspectives on the critical role of HR in today’s dynamic world of work. The event brought together the academic and non-academic staff of the Faculty, as well as the newly enrolled students, creating a sense of community and shared purpose.

The Department of Human Resource Management extends its heartfelt wishes to the new batch of students, encouraging them to make the most of the programme and embrace the opportunities ahead for a rewarding and productive learning journey.
