Senior Professor Prabhath Jayasinghe of the Department of Business Economics was awarded the Vidyodaya Literary Award (2024) for the best short story collection among all the Sinhala short story collections published in Sri Lanka in 2023, for his book ΰΆΈΰΆœΰ·„ΰ·ΰΆ»ΰ·”ΰΆ«ΰ·” ΰΆ―ΰ·”ΰΆ΄ΰΆ­ΰ·Š (Islands passed by).
The Vidodaya Literary Awrads are presented annually by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura to the best Sri Lankan Literary work published in Sri Lanka.
