The Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, proudly inaugurated the Enterprise Based Project (EBP) for 2025 with an insightful and inspiring workshop held on Friday, the 18th of July 2025 at the New Arts Theatre (NAT) of the university.
This event marked the beginning of a transformative journey for the undergraduates as it aims to bridge academic learning with real-world entrepreneurial practice. The workshop featured insightful speeches conducted by renowned entrepreneurs and industry leaders, such as Mr. Ishara Basnayake (Managing Director, Ceylon Furniture), Ms. Chandima Ranasinghe (Co-Founder, Nasta Foods), Mr. Satchith Kurukulasuriya (Director of Operations, Patamar Capital), and Mr. Supun Walpola (Managing Director, MiddleWay Ventures). They shared their experiences and practical knowledge in doing businesses to empower students in exploring business opportunities and nurturing creativity and innovation.
EBP remains a flagship course unit in the BBA degree programme, fostering entrepreneurial thinking, industry collaboration, and innovation. The success of this inaugural workshop sets a strong foundation for the exciting journey ahead.
